POSITION MISSIONS:
As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in order to grow revenue for the company. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop creative solutions that meet their budget and timelines. In addition to customer service and sales, you will also be responsible for preparing quotes, negotiating rates, and tracking shipments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in logistics or transportation sales, as well as a strong understanding of the logistic industry. He/She will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales of logistics services
Understand customer needs and requirements to provide solutions that meet their expectations
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, within company guidelines
Prepare proposals and presentations for potential customers
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities
Attend trade shows and other events to generate leads and build relationships
Update CRM system with customer contact information and details of interactions
Follow up with customers after sales meetings and phone calls
Monitor competitor activity and keep abreast of industry news
Achieve monthly sales targets set by management
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans
Provide input on logistics product development based on customer feedback

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience in the logistics industry
Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS)
Familiarity with supply chain management principles
MBA or other advanced degree
Fluent in English and French
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
3-5 years sales experience with a proven track record of success
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
